I recently purchased the TYMO Ring Hair Straightener Comb, and I must say, it's become an essential part of my haircare routine. This innovative product combines the best of both worlds by acting as a comb and a flat iron, making hairstyling a breeze. I absolutely adore this hot comb-style straightener. It performs exceptionally well when it comes to achieving perfectly straight roots without the risk of burning myself. It leaves my hair looking as sleek as if a professional stylist had done it. Surprisingly, I actually prefer it over my flat iron.
The Tymo Ring is the most wonderful hair tool I've ever come across. Before now, I thought my flat iron was the best way to straighten my hair even though it took 20+ minutes of some frustration and arm acrobatics. Boy, was I wrong! I saw a version of the Tymo Ring that set me off on researching this type of tool. I found the Tymo to have the best reviews and capabilities. I still had strong doubts that it would work. Face it, this thing looks strange and how could it straighten hair? First, to address the reviews discussing the buttons easily turning it off during use. I did accidentally turn it off a few times at first, but you quickly learn to grip it differently and it's a non-issue. This tool cut my straightening time from 20+ minutes down to 5 minutes flat. My hair is smooth, straight, and shiny.

Listen..as someone who has ACTUAL 4C hair I can assure you this works for me. Real 4C girlies, I know and understand our struggle. I have went through countless flat irons, blow driers, hot combs, etc., but none of them has worked as well as this product! I always have a hard time flat ironing my own hair, my ends would never want to be straight. Believe me when I say this product not only straighten my roots, but it also straightened my stubborn ends without even burning me! I was skeptical..I thought there was no way this product could straighten my roots, especially without burning me. But I was wrong! It's a game changer.

I have never ever written a review about anything I've ever bought so consider this extra special. I have extremely coarse thick very curly hair, I've straightened it every week for 12 years because I hate how unmanageable my curly hair is. For 12 years it's taken me 2 hours minimum every wash day to blow dry and flat iron my hair because I need to straighten it in tiny sections, and that's not easy with terribly thick hair like mine. I sweat, my feet hurt, I waste my time all because it's such a chore to do my hair. I was so excited to receive this today… and wow, it actually works. I can do my entire head in half the time it used to take.
I love this product it did exactly what it said it would do.

I've got thin, fine hair that is horrible curly fuzz on my nape ear to ear and then the top is stick straight. This is the first 'straightening brush' that has worked with my baby fine hair! No more $$$ Brazilian Blowouts or frying it with a straightening wand. Not only is it quick and simple to use. It heats quickly and works fast on my hair, I just have to section it to get into my roots where the curl begins. Best part is….even after being out in humidity, it stays straight and doesn't poof back up the way it always has with any other hair tool I've tried. I'm so glad I tried it! I love it!
I admit, I was skeptical; however, I was more than curious to try it after seeing the internet videos by the company! My hair isn't as thick as my daughters, but sometimes I really need to have it flattened. And like a half of a second, my hair went from being frizzy to completely straight! So last night I asked my daughter hey can I just comb through a portion of your hair? She laughed. Then, I said OK, let's try it out. … Her hair came out perfectly straight, shiny, and bouncy. I'm blown away.
Ive had my Tymo hair comb for 2 years already and still works amazing. I have thick wavy hair (I'm Hispanic) and wear my hair with waves. This comb has cut my hair time in a quarter of the time I used to take with a chi straightener. I can do my entire head in 10min! The device heats quickly and is easy to use on large sections of hair. I do not recommend on wet hair, it's more like the heat of a flat iron and would burn your hair. My only minor complaint is because the coils/bristles are rigid and not removable it is difficult to clean.

Well I just received my item today. So far it's pretty good. Now everyone who I've seen promote this for my texture hair says one pass is enough, well that wasn't the case for me. I did 2 passes at most. I didn't turn the heat all the way up because it was smoking so much I got scared, but maybe bcuz it was new. However I thought I would have gotten it straighter with two passes, but for now I will satisfy. I didn't want to put too much heat on my hair. I do plan to come back to do an updated review to see if it holds up.
I only used this one time so my review may change. I was able to straighten my daughter's hair quicker. The size is regular and design is cute, she loves the black with pink rim. The product does get hot so don't lay it on any surface, use a heat resistant mat. My daughter hair was so smooth, straight, and silky.
Wow, I'm impressed with how quickly this item heated up, how easy it was to use and how it straightened my hair! It usually takes a lot of heat to straighten my natural hair but this item did it with no problem. I set the temp on #3 and passed it through a section of my hair once and I was surprised at the results. My hair was soft, silky and straight.
A good straightener for curly hair. My only issue is that it was very tough to get close to my roots and those are thick, but I got pretty close and my hair was looking nice and smooth. It took little effort. My hair was not damaged and I like that you can control the temp. Pretty good value for the money you are paying for it.
This straightener really does a great job! I find myself only having to do one pass through my hair, compared to using a traditional iron straightener. My biggest qualm is that it is nearly impossible to clean, and there is not a cleaning brush provided. If you use serum or any other hair product, or if a little bit of your hair breaks off in the straightener, it is trapped forever. It starts to build up and your straightener will smoke and stink like mine does. I've tried using a toothbrush to clean it out after use, which is decent and cleans up the edges. But something with longer bristles is needed.
It does straighten my hair pretty quickly, however the whole reason I purchased this was that I had seen videos where everyone said that it left your hair much shinier than your straightener. It could be the fact that my hair has already been so damaged by straightener use. It only takes me about 10-15 mins to straighten my whole head of hair and I have medium length THICK hair. I like that you can get close to the scalp and I am able to get those extra curly areas right around the neck area that I just can't get with my straightener. I do feel that it doesn't damage your hair as much as the straightener.
Fast for Touch-Ups, but Doesn't Replace a Flat Iron

I bought this because I was looking for a faster way to straighten my hair without the hassle of a traditional flat iron. After using it for a few weeks, I have mixed feelings about whether it's truly a 'game changer.' What I Liked: Heating Speed: It really does heat up in about 20-30 seconds. The 5 temperature settings are a nice touch, but I did find I had to turn it up to level 4 to achieve decent results despite having hair of medium thickness and fairly loose curls/waves. The Design: The 'anti-scald' teeth are actually effective. I didn't worry about burning my scalp or ears, which is a big plus. What I Didn't: It struggles to get hair roots and does not create the same sleek, glass-like finish as a flat iron, especially on stubborn sections or humid days.
I REALLY wanted to love this straightening brush because I have the TYMO CURLGO and absolutely love it. But this one didn't straighten my hair. I kept going over the same spot many times and it was still wavy. Also it doesn't get all the way to the scalp. It looked like you could just brush your hair and be done. You actually can't do that. You must pull your hair into it and your hair is super hot. The heat glove would help but you can't really grip ur hair that well with it. Oh well, I will just try another item. I still gave 3 stars because like I said, I do like their other product.
Recién la usé y no me parece tan increíble, no me ahorro el tiempo de secado ni tampoco es muy cierto que en una sola pasada alisa el cabello perfectamente. Es difícil sellar las puntas y al final tuve que pasar la plancha por encima. Si te gusta el cabello con una apariencia lisa lisa no la recomiendo al 100%. Lo positivo que puedo decir es que deja el cabello con más volumen y se nota que el maltrato es mucho menor al de una plancha.
Looks like a good product til I opened it and there's dirty on it or it looks like it was used in dirty hair or something, not happy and afraid to use it.
This product is not as good as it seems. I used it once and more hair fell out than when I use the regular hair iron, it also doesn't allow you to properly straighten the hair from the roots, so you're going to have an ugly finish. And it's almost impossible to get a good straightening in the front area, especially if your hair is a bit shorter in this section. In the end I had to use the regular hair iron to correct the roots, the frizz and the front section, which makes no sense.
I watched so many videos on TikTok and after looking at reviews and reels, decided to purchas it, specially because they advertise that with one pass your hair gets straight and you'll be done in 20 mins. Well, my hair got so frizzy, so I did the same piece again, and again, and again, it took me 4 times per piece and my hair did not look completely straight. Took me hour and a half and I ended up using my regular hair straightener and it got the job done better and faster. I will definitely be returning it and get my money back, you'll get better results with a dryer and a brush than with this.

Do not purchase! WARNING. If you do purchase be prepared to receive used product… because I wasn't!! Read the reviews so I thought I'd give this a try .. the hot comb box looked used & dirty but I didn't think too much of it.. I proceeded to open the box and discovered the product itself was used/dirty, it was very sticky greasy on the outside and inside. I am so disgusted & disappointed.
I have long, thick, curly hair, and I couldn't even get this comb into my hair at all. I tried holding smaller and smaller strands of hair while using the comb, but my hair just couldn't get picked up by the comb. All the comb does is glide over the top of my hair. This comb is useless. I guess it would work if you have very thin hair that is already partially straight. Perhaps it would work for me if I took the time to straighten my hair by only pulling a strand that was the width of a pencil and if I pulled REALLY hard on my hair, but then it would take well over an hour, and I still doubt the results.
While this eventually gets the job done, it's tedious to use making it a slow process. The brush doesn't grab onto your hair unless you close a gloved hand over it to hold your hair in place. Having a glove on also makes it hard to 'feel' the results and where you left of. Taking so much time also creates static.
Honest review. Firstly, I'd give zero stars. Don't be like me and believe the hype you see on all the social media postings on this tymo. The tymo is junk. It takes at least 3 passes to get your hair semi-straight. It makes the ends look frizzy. The buttons on the Tymo handle are terribly placed. You will end up powering the device off or accidentally switching the temperature. I'd love to return my tymo. Just an fyi even the conair flat irons out do the tymo. Save yourself money and the headache, do not purchase the Tymo. I'll stick with my Paul Mitchell flat iron!
Was highly influenced to buy the Tymo by online videos. Thought it would easily pass through my hair (it's wavy with frizz on humid days but not too curly). It absolutely will NOT go thru my hair without using a 2nd hand to wiggle and force my hair in-between the teeth. It doesn't get the roots, It burns your scalp easily. Awkward bad design. Much easier to use a Dry Bar or flat iron. So disappointing.

I got influenced to buy this and had such high hopes but it just didn't do it for my hair. I have wavy/frizzy hair and I've been using the babyliss flat iron since college (I'm 38 now) and it's always done great at getting my hair super smooth and straight. I thought this might be worth trying but after a few swipes over a section of hair it was straighter but not nearly as frizz free as my regular straightener. I did make sure it was hot enough before trying. I'm not saying it won't work for some but it was a no for me.
This definitely did not work as advertised and I ended up going back to my old straightener the next day. This made my hair greasy and nowhere near as smooth, straight and silky as is shown in videos online. It also kept turning off because the on/off button is on a weird spot that I accidentally kept pressing while using it. The comb itself doesn't fit a lot of hair at once and it's difficult to get a good pass through sectioned hair. This is one of the worst products I have ever used, glad I can return it.

A used product was shipped to me. The box had 2 hairs in it and upon opening the box, there was a hair tangled in the brush. I was really hoping this would be an amazing product, but after receiving a used product that contained hairs in the box and the actual brush, I'll be returning this. No one wants to see that when opening what you believe is a new, unused product. Nasty!
Does it straighten the hair? Barely and my hair looked like it had just been blown out and not flat ironed. I also had to go over my hair too many times for it to be safe. I had to go and buy another straightener after using this piece of junk.
